A voice for mental health

I work at the intersection of psychotherapy, bodywork, and public knowledge dissemination.

Alongside my therapeutic practice, I am committed to raising awareness of mental health in a nuanced, destigmatizing, and professionally grounded manner—within medical, psychosocial, and public contexts.

My perspective combines clinical knowledge, traumasensitive, body-oriented approaches and my own experience with mental illness. This connection shapes my work as a speaker, author, trainer and conversation partner in media formats.

Thematic focus areas

I speak, write, and teach on the following topics, among others:

  • Trauma, the nervous system, and body-oriented approaches
  • Depression, exhaustion, and emotional overwhelm
  • Bodywork as a complement to psychotherapeutic approaches
  • Stigmatization of mental illness
  • Prevention, self-regulation, and mental health
  • Yoga and Bodywork in Clinical and Preventive Contexts
  • Mental health in the workplace

I convey the content in a way that is clear, practical, and grounded in scientific knowledge—catering both to professional audiences and to individuals engaging with these topics out of personal interest or their own experience.

Lectures, workshops, teaching and training

Lectures, workshops, teaching and training

I work as a speaker and lecturer, conducting presentations, workshops, and seminars for various target groups, including:

  • Medical and psychosocial professionals
  • Specialist conferences, congresses, and continuing education events
  • Hospitals, medical practices, and therapeutic facilities
  • Foundations, educational institutions, and healthcare organizations
  • Companies focused on mental health

Furthermore, I provide advanced training for yoga teachers and yoga therapists—particularly in the areas of traumasensitive, body-oriented work and the responsible handling of mental health within the context of yoga.

Many of my offerings are not aimed exclusively at professionals. Interested laypeople, those personally affected, and their family members are also expressly welcome—depending on the format.

My formats are designed to be interactive, combining expert input with elements of practical application and personal experience. Depending on the setting, I incorporate brief body-oriented exercises, periods of reflection, or experience-based prompts to make the content accessible and tangible.

In doing so, I always ensure a professional and safe framework, as well as a clear distinction from therapeutic settings.

Author and Media Relations

As an author, I write about mental health, trauma, bodywork, and destigmatization. I also appear as a guest on podcasts, panels, and discussion programs, where I contextualize, explore in depth, and clearly communicate these topics to a broad audience.
It is important to me to present complex issues in an accessible way—without oversimplifying or trivializing them—and to make mental illness visible as part of the human experience.

Attitude

Mental illnesses are not a matter of individual failure; rather, they arise from the interplay of biographical, physical, social, and structural factors.

I advocate for mental health to be discussed openly, less stigmatized, and viewed more holistically—both in terms of care and within societal discourse.
