Retreat Weekend

When: July 9–11, 2027
Where: Sampurna Seminar House, Schlangenbad

Perhaps you are tired of just functioning.
Perhaps you have long sensed that your nervous system actually needs a break—yet even rest sometimes no longer feels truly restful.

This weekend is an invitation to step out for a moment—away from the pressure, the “have-tos,” and the constant need to be strong.

In a small, safe group, a space awaits you—filled with calm, mindful movement, and time to catch your breath. Free from the pressure to perform. Free from the need for perfection. Free from the expectation to feel or share anything specific.

And perhaps things are allowed to get a little lighter in between, too.

Here’s what awaits you:

  • traumasensitive yoga
  • gentle body and breath work
  • quiet moments in nature
  • restorative and regulatory sessions
  • journaling and creative prompts
  • time for withdrawal, sleep, and regeneration
  • small moments of spaciousness, calm, and lightness

Everything is an invitation. You decide for yourself at any time what feels right and what you need.

The retreat is designed especially for people who long for a safe, nervous-system-friendly space—whether they are currently navigating challenging life phases, feeling exhausted, or simply wish to reconnect with themselves.

No yoga experience is necessary.

Health insurance subsidy

The compact course “Self-Care and Self-Love with Hatha Yoga,” included in the retreat, is certified as a prevention course under Section 20 of the German Social Code Book V (SGB V).

After participating in the retreat, you will receive a certificate of attendance that you can submit to your statutory health insurance provider. Whether the course fee is subsidized—and the amount of any such subsidy—depends on your health insurance provider’s policies. Please check directly with your health insurance provider before registering if necessary.

Accommodation and meals are not part of the prevention course and are not subsidized by health insurance companies.

The weekend will be accompanied by Anna Stechert – alternative practitioner for psychotherapy and trauma-sensitive yoga therapist.

The weekend will be accompanied by Anna Stechert – alternative practitioner for psychotherapy and trauma-sensitive yoga therapist.

Drawing on extensive experience in the field of mental health, a space is created that centers on safety, a measured pace, self-determination, and a mindful approach to one’s own boundaries.

This weekend isn’t meant to turn you into something. Perhaps you are simply allowed to carry a little less for a moment.
To breathe more. To rest more. And, in between, to feel a little lighter again.

Movement. Stillness. Being.

A weekend to arrive—in your body, in your breath, and with yourself.
